Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in Raleigh will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in North Carolina usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.

Iris Coffee Lab is where you bring the friend who can tell you the origin of a bean after one sip, who gets excited about extraction methods and tasting notes, and who genuinely believes coffee deserves the same reverence as a fine bottle of wine. Iris isn't trying to be trendy: it is unapologetically devoted to the craft. The interior reflects that philosophy. A restrained palette of white, charcoal, and soft gray keeps distractions to a minimum, allowing every cup to remain the focal point. It's clean, modern, and intentionally understated. If you're someone who typically reaches for cream and sugar, I'd encourage you to order at least one cup black. Iris sources and roasts exceptional coffee, and tasting it without distractions is the best way to appreciate the nuance and balance that have earned the cafΓ© such a devoted following. That said, the seasonal menu is every bit as thoughtful. On this visit, I ordered the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha Latte, a drink layered with tropical sweetness, creamy matcha, and just enough complexity to keep each sip interesting. The final few sips, where all of the flavors settled together, were unexpectedly my favorite part. My brother-in-law cho

My mom was visiting from out of town so we stopped in over the weekend and got two of their specials (the Golden Spring Latte and Run Club). My mom isnβt a huge iced latte person, but she told me the Run Club drink was the best sheβs ever had! She couldnβt stop talking about it! I love all the delicious and creative drinks this place has, and the service is always so friendly. Thank you!

I love the coffee, food and service at Iris. The coffee is some of the best I have had and they are very good at listing the details of all the coffee/espresso they are using each day. Their food options are diverse enough to find something you will like but small enough of a menu that they make the items really well. If you are staying to work on a laptop the seats with backs run out quickly as does the sofa so you may have to sit on the stools which are not comfortable at all imho. But while my niece waited in line last time we went I was able to grab a table and move there. The wifi is fast and worked great. While my niece is 23 years younger than me, we are both in college her in undergrad and me doing my Doctorate so we had a great bonding niece-aunt study session here. We even ended up buying more drinks later and switch to matcha which was as perfect as the coffee. Will definitely come back! I just wish parking was easier.

Iris was quite the experience. We had heard such great things! Beautiful ambiance- food was delicious- we had the special bagel of the day. The pour over was delicious and perhaps not my favorite blend but definitely left me wanting to come back to try something else!

I basically go here at least once a week. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are amazing. I tend to alternate between multiple coffee shops in Raleigh. When it comes to Iris, I think its great that they have great interior, baristas, and selection of food. They rotate their coffee espresso at times, so it's cool checking in and seeing what they have brewing. Definitely recommend a mocha, matcha, or their seasonal drinks.
